This weekend is going to be a busy and tiring one. First I am going to be on call for my job, which means that I need to get up at about 7:30 am Saturday and Sunday morning and check up on systems and their status and be available for troubleshooting ’til 12. On top of that I’m going to Helsingborg (for reasons I might be able to tell you more about later) on Saturday afternoon. That same day I’m going back to Stockholm so that I can make it back in time to go to a nightclub with my friends. And after that (hopefully mild) club night I’ll still have to get up early Sunday morning. =)

I just got back from a long weekend in Copenhagen where we saw Metallica play their first of five concerts. For the most of you the Metallica concert has been the main reason for us to go to Copenhagen. But actually there was another reason as well.
Yep, we got engaged. =)
And this is what it looks like.

If you should have the need to some day produce a mockup of an interface without letting the person who asked for it think that you’ve actually implemented stuff behind the mockup (and thus believing that the product is ready to ship) you should have a look at this: Balsamiq Mockups. It’s a flash application, so it should work with any browser (that supports Flash of course =).
The only drawback is that it’s a demo which’ll show you a popup every 5 minutes while working with your mockup – but I think I could live with that.

I’ve heard that it can sometimes be a problem taking pictures of privately held properties in the USA, especially since it’s not always simple to tell private property from state owned property. Rent-a-cops may approach you and ask you to leave and even worse, you might get arrested if the pictures you took are showing details of important infrastructure (bridges and so on). All this since the threat of terrorism increased after September 11 2001. But I thought that this was something exclusively american, considering their new legislation and their Department of Homeland Security and so on.
But now it turns out that a photographer was arrested in England – Europe! And this guy wasn’t even taking pictures of something vital to the society (unless you think a fast food shop is the worlds most important thing). Anyways, here’s the link the to article published by The British Journal of Photography. Reading his own blog post about the event reminds me of a film I saw about the issues developing in regards to personal integrity vs. threats of terrorism. Sadly I can’t remember the films name right now, I’ll update the post if I remember it again.

Update: With the help of my girlfriend I got hold of the films name: Taking Liberties (since 1997).

Again, this is going to be in Swedish because the test itself is in Swedish.
